Firearm is missing front sight hood. Possible Sporter. This rifle has been converted to accept and fire 308 Norma Mag caliber. Factory barrel designation stamp is 30-06.
Wood shows lots a fitted stock, there are lots of wood repair/inserts or stock fitting adjustments, glue can be seen around the feed housing, there is a crack running from the upper right side grip area to the lower left side of grip area. There is crude hand checkering. Rear left side area shows other small fine cracks. Dried adhesive can be seen around the breech/receiver fitment to stock.
Metal shows scuffs, finish wear, some patina, few rust spots in spots around receiver. There are three holes that have been drilled on left side of receiver. There are also grinding tool marks on the left side of receiver.
Bore is very lightly pitted with rifling and some shine.
Gun has not been test fired or inspected by a gunsmith. Action possibly works correctly to the best of our knowledge. We do not clean guns and recommend a thorough cleaning before use.

Your items are available for pickup on the Wednesday following the sale for a period of two weeks. Please email cs@landsboroughauctions.com to make alternate arrangements.

A $5.00 per item per day will be charged on items not picked up beyond the two-week period following our auction.
Shipping Details:
A prerequisite of our auction is to select your preference to pick up or have items shipped. We will honour your selection. Items will be shipped together when possible. Shipping charges are determined after items have been packaged and weighed. There will be $15.00 per package handling charge. Specific items cannot be or will not be shipped (for example black powder or very large or expensive-to-ship items).
All items are sent by Canada Post or Purolator Courier depending on location, size of parcel and regulations.
Items will be insured and a signature required.
We ship ammunition ONLY within Canada. Ammunition and firearms are shipped separately.
Dangerous goods (ammunition, powder, muzzle loading ignition, primers and compressed gases) will be shipped by Purolator. We require a physical address as Purolator does not deliver to P.O. boxes. Please note we can only use Purolator for ammo and their costs will be more expensive than in the past. Purolator is the only option for shipping ammunition.
For shipping a second charge will occur the day the item has been shipped which will include shipping, insurance and a packing fee. Shipping is done in numerical order by paddle number and starts the Monday after the auction. Once your package(s) have been scanned by the courier company picking up (Canada Post or Purolator(ammo) then they send you an email with your tracking information.
Insurance cost will be charged and calculated at $2.90 per $100, so $1-$100 is $2.90, $101-$200 is $5.70, $201-$300 is $8.70 and so forth. Costs for shipping and insurance are processed on your credit card through the iCollector site.
If I choose to decline shipping insurance through Landsborough Auctions, I do understand that if the packages/items are lost, damaged, stolen or otherwise rendered inoperable or destroyed, that I am solely responsible and will not pursue any financial or other kind of compensation from Landsborough Auctions.

In Canada, a valid P.A.L. (possession and acquisition license) is required to acquire firearms and ammunition. Firearm registration applies to all restricted and prohibited firearms purchased within Canada. All restricted and prohibited firearms will have their transfer started on auction day. USA and International bidders have sole responsibility for their purchases and a $40.00 administrative fee is applied on all firearms sales. If purchased items cannot be imported, the items will be sold at the next available auction. Consignment commissions are applicable on the resale. Please note that we do not ship ammunition outside Canada.
