Wood stock shows few light dents, scuffs, scratches, there are chips on either side of the trigger guard area, a repair on the forearm stock (dried adhesive can be seen), some markings on the stock; condition is good.
Metal finish shows some areas of finish wear, firearm is missing the extractor, scratches, scuffs, patina, few rust specks; condition is good.
Bore is dark grey, with light roughness, rifling is good.
The consignor has asked us to add the following information: G.R.I. 1944 India Ishapore -- Arsenal manufactured No1 MkIII* Lee Enfield Service Rifle. The military rifles manufactured by Isadore in 1944 are stamped “GRI” Referring TO George VI. (Last Emperor of India).

Firearm has not been test fired or inspected by a gunsmith. All firearms and firearm parts are sold “As Is”. We do not clean firearm and recommend a thorough cleaning before use. Your items are available for pickup on the Wednesday following the sale for a period of two weeks. Please email cs@landsboroughauctions.com to make alternate arrangements.
Storage fees:

Shipping Details:
A prerequisite of our auction is to select your preference to pick up or have items shipped. We will honour your selection. Items will be shipped together when possible. Shipping charges are determined after items have been packaged and weighed. There will be $15.00 per package handling charge. Specific items cannot be or will not be shipped (for example black powder or very large or expensive-to-ship items).
All items are sent by Canada Post or Purolator Courier depending on location, size of parcel and regulations.
Items will be insured and a signature required.
We ship ammunition ONLY within Canada. Ammunition and firearms are shipped separately.
Dangerous goods (ammunition, powder, muzzle loading ignition, primers and compressed gases) will be shipped by Purolator. We require a physical address as UPS/Purolator do not deliver to P.O. boxes. Please note we can only use Purolator for ammo and their costs will be more expensive than in the past. Purolator and UPS are the only option for shipping ammunition in Canada.

You have sole responsibility for your purchases. You and or your importing FFL will be required to file paperwork with BATF in order to import an item. Please check with your FFL and/or BATF regarding import of specific items. Not all firearms are able to be imported/exported into the USA. Note that any items that you have purchased but are deemed “not importable/exportable” will be sold at our next available auction. Our regular commission charges apply to the resale of your items.

In Canada, a valid P.A.L. (possession and acquisition license) is required to acquire firearms and ammunition. Firearm registration applies to all restricted and prohibited firearms purchased within Canada. All restricted and prohibited firearms will have their transfer started on auction day. USA and International bidders have sole responsibility for their purchases and a $40.00 administrative fee is applied on all firearms sales. If purchased items cannot be imported, the items will be sold at the next available auction. Consignment commissions are applicable on the resale.
